Soul Survivor 2009

Every year young people from Revival Youth Congregation attend Soul Survivor.

Soul Survivor started as the youth event at New Wine Festival several years ago. New Wine is a Christian Festival started by a Church of England church. Soul Survivor has become a festival in its own right and now attracts 20,000+ young people over two weeks. Soul Survivor has a safe Christian environment that is welcoming to both churched and unchurched young people.

It is held at the Royal Bath and West Showground in Somerset. The onsite facilities are good with permanent toilets and showers.  There is loads to do during the festival. The focus is on the main meetings that happen twice a day. On top of these are sports, a huge skate park, loads of cafes, bands playing each night, a cinema, food stalls, a marketplace and plenty of seminars on a whole range of subjects. Most, if not all, of the main meetings have an extended time of Prayer Ministry.

The young people who attend from Revival enjoy the opportunity to go away together as well as all the facilities at Soul Survivor, particularly the worship and main meetings.  We hire a coach for the trip down and we are able to have our own marquee for cooking and eating.
