Welcome to Revival
Revival is the Youth Congregation of St. John's Church in Woodbridge. We are an assorted bunch of young people who are getting to grips with the world we inhabit, getting on with each other and with trying to understand what God is all about and what he means for us. During the course of each month we organise and run a range of activities and events. But more importantly we spend this time building quality relationships with each other and with God.
Purpose Statement
revival has a purpose statement that helps us remember what we are trying to achieve. All the events run at revival seek to achieve one or more of the following and all members are encouraged to live these out in their lives.
Love God (Worship)
At revival we want to follow God who loves us and cares for us through worshipping him, receiving from him and giving our lives to him
Love One Another (Serving)
As Jesus served others so we want to show our love to one another through helping each other and serving them
Love the Lost (Evangelism)
This might be a new word for you but basically we believe that the message of Jesus (God’s love for us) is so important that we want to tell other people about it
Love Life (Socialising)
We want to enjoy life and we want people to feel part of revival. What better way than by hanging out together
Love the Word (Discipleship)
This might be another new word. We want to learn how to follow God by looking at his instruction book (the Bible)
Cells
Cells meet on Sunday mornings in term time, 9:00 - 10:15 at St John's Church or 11.00am – 12:15pm in St John's Church Hall. We meet as small groups, exploring what it means to be a Christian, chatting, making friends, praying, looking into the Bible and having a laugh - not necessarily in that order!
Check out the Diary to see when we meet.
Vision
Vision is our regular service - in St John's Church on the second Sunday of each month, 7 - 9.30pm. It gives us the opportunity to meet together as a congregation and invite others in order to spend time worshipping God and receiving from him. We also spend some time in teaching often with visiting speakers. We deck out St. John's church turn the lights down low and turn the Revival worship band up. We finish the evening off by opening the café and letting the DJ work the music.
Check out the Diary to see when the next Vision is.
Rock Solid
Friday evenings, 6:30 – 8:30pm, in St John's Church Hall, for those in school years 7 to 9 ! A chance to chill out with Playstations, craft, games, music, tuck shop, cooking, trips and the opportunity to talk about God stuff and other issues to do with school, friends and life in general.
Check out the Diary to see what we are doing at the next Rock Solid.

Extras
As well as these regular events, Revival has a number of other events and activities to encourage the building of congregation and to allow others to join us, perhaps in a more relaxed way. Each term we try and have at least one social event (usually two). Annual events that happen include participation in one of the Soul Survivor weeks at Shepton Mallet, our own Weekend Away and involvement in World Vision's 24-hour Famine.
Revival financially support a 17 year old orphan at the Kajiado Children's Home in Kenya called Molai Tianta.
Revival is involved with local schools and in the community. We are also available to visit other churches and events to lead worship, speak or advise.
